Hi There,

I had missing fills from a live trading account with Transact.

I followed your instructions for this issue as per:

http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TradeActivityLog.php#AutoInsertionMissingFills

I finally cleared the log and after reconnecting, the trade fills information was not downloaded. The symbol that was cleared (ESM3) from the log does not even show in the Trade Activity Log Symbol pull down menu.

How can I download all these information again to the Trade Activity Log?

Thank You

For unknown reasons, the current version of the TransAct software that Sierra Chart uses, does not support providing historical fills. This should be resolved sometime this week when we release a new version of the TransAct software.

However, keep in mind that in our experience TransAct only maintains the current days fills. So you will not get anything more than the current day. And at the close of the day, all of the fills at that time, are cleared.

Thanks for the answer.

Should I be checking for a new SC version or a new Transact version to resolve this issue? or there is nothing from my end that I should do?

Thank You

Hi there,

In regards to the last paragraph that you added to your original answer:

"However, keep in mind that in our experience TransAct only maintains the current days fills. So you will not get anything more than the current day. And at the close of the day, all of the fills at that time, are cleared."

Does this mean that the fills information will be no longer downloadable? if this is so, is there any way to recover previous fill information and upload it to the Trade Activity Log?

Although fill information can be seen in the Transact statements, the information in the Trade Activity Log is in many cases vital information, specially in the way that is organized and displayed by SC. Statements cannot replace this information.

Thanks

As we said, TransAct only has at most 1 day of fills. Beyond that they are not recoverable.

You do have the ability to manually insert Order fills through Edit >> Insert Trade Activity Entry.

Thanks for your answer.

This is very bad and sad news as it was live trading results information for 100 plus trades!!

If possible, for the best interest of future users with this issue, update your documentation (which is very good and complete) in regards to the missing fills in the Trade Activity Log at:

http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TradeActivityLog.php#AutoInsertionMissingFills

as users are directed to solve missing trades information in second instance by "If the missing order fills are not available and you are still missing order fills in the Trade Activity Log for a particular symbol, then you will want to clear the Trade Activity data for a symbol to reset it" which as I have experienced, will not reset the information but will delete all information and, as you have advised, it is NOT RECOVERABLE.

Also there was no notice in the above section of the possibility to manually insert order fills at Edit>>Insert Trade Activity.

Thanks

Later today we will be releasing a new version of Sierra Chart which again supports downloading historical order fills from TransAct. But as we said, they only have 1 day maximum.
