Hi,
I am receiving the following error messages when trying to place a trade to interactive brokers through the API using Sierra Charts. It was working ok, but now this. I just need to confirm whether the problem is with Sierra Charts or the TWS of interactive brokers. I have sent them the same log entries as display here.

No, this can only be done from the Sierra Chart side but there must have been a reason why that was set the way it was.

And there has not been an issue previously with how this is set.

Hi,
Are we any closer to a resolution of this issue? I still receive the same error message when initiating trades from sierra charts.

The first thing to do is to contact Interactive Brokers about this.

I have installed the Stable version of TWS,whereas before it was the Beta version. The problem now appears fixed and TWS accepts the orders through sierra charts. They must have changed something to upset the apple cart.

This is the response received from Interactive Brokers. Does not mean a lot to me, but may give you some insight as to why the problem occurs.

Dear Mr. Alchin,

Thank you for contacting Interactive Brokers.

The issue is exactly what the error says. The order sent by the client uses an obsolete attribute in the passed Order object: Order.Firmquoteonly. Check reference 2169: https://interactivebrokers.github.io/tws-api/message_codes.html

Newer versions of TWS API no longer have such attribute for the Order class. The way to resolve it is for the client to no longer use this attribute.

This is the latest response from interactive.

Dear Mr. Alchin,

Thank you for contacting Interactive Brokers.

The following formats are now working with the LATEST version of TWS:
- "yyyyMMdd-hh:mm:ss" for UTC time
- "yyyyMMdd hh:mm:ss TIMEZONE" where TIMEZONE can be either the Exchange's time zone or your TWS' own (operator) time zone. For example: "US/Eastern"

Be sure you are on the latest "Stable" release from IB. Also update your Sierra Chart to the latest Pre-Release by following these instructions:
