I've downloaded the free trial and would like to use the Market Profile functions to build real time e-Mini S&P (symbol /ES on TOS) profiles and volume data. I'm a TDA subscriber, but my understanding is TDA doesn't support real-time streaming of this data. How can I get it during the free trial period, so I can evaluate your profile software? Thanks.

The easiest solution would be to subscribe to the Sierra Chart Real-time and Historical Exchange Data Feed near the end of the month.

Your cost for this would be less than about 15 USD and you would get high-quality real-time futures data. Refer to the instructions here:

http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php

If you need an extension of Sierra Chart usage time let us know. If we could give out real-time futures data we would. But this is just not possible. There is a cost to this that has to be paid for.

I added $26 credit (the rest of this month was $21) and followed the instructions, but when I go to activate exchanges, the following text is in all of the "Action" fields for the exchanges: "To enable the exchange at least one Real-time data connection account is reuqired."

I've already selected TDA as my broker on Sierra Chart - what am I missing??? Thanks.

We are looking into this now. We do see a problem. Please take no further market data related actions on the account until we resolve it.

Please allow little time for this to be resolved. We had to contact our data provider about this. For some reason they do not recognize the state code.

The problem is now resolved. Go to this page and click the link that says Sign the Agreement:
https://www.sierrachart.com/usercp.php?page=MarketDataFeedFeatures

After that you can activate the exchanges. After activating the exchange that you want, restart Sierra Chart.

Now I'm really confused. I've signed the agreement, paid for and activated the CME feed with Market Depth (15.75 USD). And when I go into Sierra Chart, it says I'm unable to get a real-time futures data feed because I'm not connected to a trading platform that allows futures trading. Of course, if I choose TDA in the Data/Trade Service Settings, I don't get the feeds either as TDA doesn't supply them. Do I need to set up two instances of Sierra Chart and link them together???

You need to set the Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service in Sierra Chart to TD Ameritrade.

Your TD Ameritrade account will need to have at least 500 USD in it.

You can find the future symbols in File >> Find Symbol.

If you still have a problem getting the data, then provide a copy of the Message Log by following these instructions:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=PostingInformation.php#log

Otherwise, everything looks good with your account and you will be able to get the data.

I have an unrelated question that I'm not seeing on the documentation. I've set up a TPO Profile chart with volume and now how to split it into individual periods, which is how I'll use it. My question is related to volume - is there a way to have two volume displays next to each other - one showing total volume for the day by price, the other showing only volume for the current 30 minute profile bar? Thanks!

Splitting and Merging is documented here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TPOVolProfileCharts.html#SplitMerges

Two-volume profiles are not currently supported with TPO Profile Charts. You will need to use a separate chart for that. It is one thing we plan to be adding the capability for. But we just have so many things to do and we are not sure when we can get to it.
