New IB Version Downloaded - Auto Start Not Working

Recently I downloaded IB Build 944.3c

Now, I'm having a problem with SC auto loading IB upon start-up. I get a message that a jar file is missing: httpcore-4.3.jar or httpclient-4.3.jar

I'm not sure what to do with this information. Do I need to reinstall IB?

Sounds like you might need to install the latest Java version.

For a problem like this, it is best to contact Interactive Brokers and they should be able to help you with this.

If I open the new version of IB manually, everything is fine. If I start SC and look for IB to be opened automatically, as in the past, then the missing jar file message appears. Because IB otherwise runs fine, just does not auto start any more, I am assuming the new version of IB does not properly sync with SC. It is unlikely IB will help with that.

Sierra Chart has no capability to start Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation. How are you doing that?

There is nothing there which will automatically start Trader Workstation.

This capability does not exist within Sierra Chart.

I think we are having a communication problem - probably my fault. In the past, it has not been necessary for me to manually type in my user name and password for IB. That is handled automatically, because it is set up in the Sierra Chart "Data/Trade Service Settings" which is located under Global Settings in Sierra Chart. This is all I mean when I refer to "auto" starting. That function is no longer working. Instead, I am getting the missing jar file message.

We do not see how a missing Java file is related to Sierra Chart filling in the Username and Password into the TWS Login window. The two are unrelated. And we do not know much about Java and really cannot help with that.

Besides, if the functionality to fill in the Username and Password into the IB TWS Login window is not working, then our recommendation is not to use it. There is no guarantee it will work.

To be clear, this particular support request is not something we can provide much assistance with. There really is not anything more we can offer.
