I am using ver. 2419 and since about ver 2416 I have had these variances to break even with the BE button: When short: BE takes me out at current price I want the stop to zero BE When long: BE button moves my stops to 40.75 (actual price in the ES no matter what price the open position) instead of zero BE Please advise for proper setup instructions, I cannot figure it out. |

Make sure this option is not enabled: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/GlobalTradeSettings.html#AlwaysUsePositionAverageForReferencePriceForBreakEvenCommand The reference price for moving to breakeven is going to be the quantity weighted average price of the fill prices of the parent order of the Stop Attached Order. Check the Trade Activity Log Order Action Source field for this reference price when it is initially set and changes: Trade Activity Log: Viewing Historical Trade Activity Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Also, there is an offset for the Move to Breakeven that is set on the Trade Window. If you want the exact Breakeven price, then make sure the offset is zero. Refer to the information at the following link: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Set >> Move to BE Offset For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
