Hi,

Is there a way to set the dates to exclude for a given chart through ACSIL? If not, is it possible to add a function for that?

Thanks.

Do you see feasibility for this? Thanks.

Any chance this is already done? If not, no rush, just doing a periodic check. In case it is done, I would like to know what the new ACSIL function name is. Thanks.

Hi QnReally,

Just out of curiosity, what was the reason to exclude certain days?

Thanks!

When I have a lot of volume profiles (one for each day, for instance, with a bar period of 405 minutes on NQ -- meaning one bar per day just for the RTH) on a chart with a few hundred days loaded, the chart response time becomes sluggish. My plan is to exclude all days that are outside of 500 points from the current price programmatically, reducing the amount of data loaded. As a side benefit I can see the past volume profiles in that price range without scrolling left and right even if they had occurred way back in the past.

Oh, I see, you would see relevant price actions happened maybe days or even weeks ago on the same screen, that is really a brilliant idea to handle the data at this volatile market! Thanks QnReally!

SC Support,

While I like the idea of having an ACSIL function to eliminate days loaded into the chart, would you be able to support this functionality natively at the load time? Using the ACSIL method, the chart would load first, the study will then eliminate some days, and the chart would have to reload before I can use the chart. This need to eliminate unwanted data occurs on charts with a lot of days loaded (for me, typically, 100s of days data loaded) and not waiting for an additional reload would be beneficial.

Is it possible to add an enhancement to eliminate the unwanted intraday data (a day as an atomic unit to include or exclude -- preferable, or just any ticks outside of the range -- less preferable but still great) based on what is outside of a set range from the current price, from the chart settings, at load time?

If this is not preferable for you or if it takes too long I still would like to get the ACSIL function to eliminate days. Note that I would have to call this function like 100 times to eliminate all the days I want (happy to do it as long as I don't have to reload for each day eliminated).

Thanks.

Yes it will work like this. After adding all of the dates to exclude you would set sc. FlagToReloadChartData

I am watching sierrachart.h file periodically to see if this change has been implemented. Just wondering if that is the right way to verify the completion of this feature. Thanks.

For planning purposes, I want to check if this feature will be available this year. I can plan around that and check later in December. Thanks.

Not trying to rush your already busy schedules but I would really appreciate any update on this request. I expect my charts to become really fast when I have this. Right now, one of my charts takes 220 ms for each update which is painfully slow. Thanks.
