The issue is when the scale range for the chart is set to a Constant Range. This issue only occurs when there is a movement in the market which causes a bar to take up the entire scale range of the chart. An example would be a large movement up where the range of the bar exceeds the amount set for the constant scale range. Upon trying to re-center the scale range, the price is still cut off because the range of the bar exceeds the constant range. Here is a method to reproduce it with a market replay. 1. The symbol is CLN22-NYMEX or CLN22_FUT_CME for the Teton service. 2. Apply a numbers bars study to the chart and change the bar period to 20-1 pnf. The issue is not unique to a specific bar period but that is the one we were using. There are no other studies on the chart. 3. The scale range is set to Constant Range with a range of 0.57. The Constant Range Scale Mode is set to Keep The Last Bar Within View with a setting of 2 ticks from the edge. All other scale range settings are default. 4. Using New York time, replay the market on the date 2022-06-13 at around 11:25 AM. The market makes a large movement higher around this time where the price exceeds the range of the chart. This is happening until the chart creates a new bar, at that point the issue is no longer there. If you let the replay run for a few minutes you will see another example where the market moves up and the price is cut off at the top. |

This is going to occur with the Constant Range scaling. It is the nature of this scale type. You have set the range to a specific size, and if the bar goes higher or lower than that range, then it is going to be off the top or bottom edge. When this occurs, you can change the range of the scale by using the Interactive Scale Range option and compressing/expanding as needed.
