Are candlestick widths supposed to resize automatically with a change in bar spacing?

Do you think the software would work differently than is designed with such a basic function? This is to be expected and is automatically managed.

When decreasing spacing, bar widths do not seem to decrease automatically.

There are settings which affect the with the bars as a percentage and these are in in Global Settings >> Graphics Settings >> Other.
