Hi,

I am currently using AMP Futures as my broker with CQG for order routing. Does AMP now support Teton order routing services?

Thanks.

No, they do not support the Teton Order Routing service at this time. We do not know when they will, it is up to them.
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

guys, if you want AMP to support Teton, we should all pressure them by calling and sending emails demanding. I sent several emails to them telling them i will be forced to move my accounts if they don't offer Teton.

AMP is saying that they want to see over 1,000 accounts on Teton. How many do you currently have using Teton? If it is over 1,000 users, you should let AMP know.

We have to look on our servers, to see how many accounts actually exist. It is not information that we can quickly/easily access since the accounts are set up by the clearing firms and we do not see those accounts.

After looking on the servers what we see is ~623 accounts.

Once again our advice is simply to move your account and not wait around. We do not think this would come soon with AMP.

then, how do you feel about what AMP is saying...

"We are monitoring....easy to say it all works good with a few users...
once start hitting 1,000+ users...load balances and backup protocols start being tested.
We do not want our customers to be the testers.
We will maintain communication with Sierra and send an announcement once this service has matured."

they/AMP is saying they are monitoring and make this claim/assessment. Do you agree with them? Do you think Teton is technically solid enough to handle large volume?

Have you considered starting your own broker business?

I also think you should allow/restore historical tick data for CQG as you grow Teton users and build solid track record. You are doing disservice to your customers by turning off CQG historical tick data. You should reconsider.

Absolutely 1000% disagree with this:

Our historical data is massively superior to anything else out there. We have no interest in supporting historical data from any service at all ever. This is a monumental technical mistake. We will only support our own historical data. And that has how it has been, for more than 10+ years with Sierra Chart. We have built custom historical data systems for most of the services Sierra Chart supports. Although these have been gradually phased out over the years. The last one to be shut down is Transact, this coming June.

We are also going to be removing EUREX trading fully and completely from CQG soon. If it were not for CME market data policy we would completely remove support for CME data from CQG which we actually should do now.

This is not a disservice whatsoever. Perhaps when it comes to CME market data policy in some small number of cases but we cannot help that. We are not going to do anything to accommodate that.

You just simply need to use our Denali data feed which you can with CQG. Maybe you were not aware of that.

Yes overwhelmingly so. The question itself is shows a lack of understanding about order routing, and indicates poor experiences with other order management systems that do not match the performance even close to what the Teton offers. There is next to no CPU load, essentially nothing, when it comes to order routing. So handling 1000+ users is effortless.

The only area of concern thinking about it, would really be to order activity storage and these other systems they work with only maintain that data for one day usually. Whereas we maintain it for years. Although we are not aware of any performance impact, relating to the storage of this information.

When you change your package you do not make a payment. We just adjust the End Date of your Usage time based on the difference in the package pricing. Refer to these instructions:

To change your Sierra Chart Service Package, select "Help >> Account Control Panel" on the Sierra Chart program menu. On the displayed webpage, click on the "Set Service Package for Renewal" link.

Or go to this page:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ServicesActivation

You will need to login if you are not currently logged in.

In the "Available Services >> Choose Usage Time Service Package" frame, select the Service Package that you want to set your account to. Press the "Set" button.

The remaining service usage time on your account will be adjusted based upon the cost of the package you are changing to. If the new package is a higher-priced package, then the usage time will be reduced due to the higher price.

There is no charge for changing your Sierra Chart service package. Only your Sierra Chart account usage time ending date is adjusted.

When changing between Sierra Chart Service Packages, the usage time ending date on your Sierra Chart account is adjusted based upon the price differences between the package you are changing from and the package you are changing to.

When changing to a higher priced package, your usage time ending date will be brought back closer in time. When changing to a lower-priced package, your usage time ending date will be brought forward further out in time.
