[User Discussion] - I need help to start DEMO trading/my free trial ending after 1 day why? i have questions!

hi so i downloaded sierra chart the free trial and i installed it. The reason for me doing this is following: - i want to demo trade or paper trade on a simulator with dom/priceladder to learn how to trade i want to papper trade S&p 500 (micro emini futures) and crude oil an also 10 year treasury. i have watched a couple of tutorials about sierra chart and i know how to install it and also how to setup dom and charts and link them etc but what dont know is following: 1. i dont know why sierra chart ended my free trial (i only had it for 1 day lol) do i need to pay or add usage credit to be able to use sierra chart for papper tradingor simulator trading with fully functionality when it comes to dom and charts etc, if so how do i do that? and how much does it cost? i am planning to demo trade for 3-5 months and i want to pay a monthly fee if its possible. 2: after i have learned to trade, i want to start a real trading account with money. And for that i think i need a broker, because sierra chart is not a broker but just a platform? so i need a broker outside of sierra chart? 3: now when i have a broker, do i need to pay for a data routing service? my problem is that i dont know what data routing service is, is it a service that sends your orders to the exchange liek for an example if i trade s&p 500 wich is on cme, then i need a order routing service that sends my orders to the exchange so that i will be able to transact with others? how much does a routing service cost? and where do i get one? 4: i also understand that i need a datafeed service, but here is the problem i dont know what a data feed service is? is it a service that will supply you with the market data like for an example it will give you information that is showing up on the dom, like 10 bids and 10 offers (or ask) ? is datafeed just like level 2 data when it comes to trading stocks? how much does data feed cost? and where do i get one? 5: how much does sierra chart platform cost per month? 6: when it comes to finde a broker do i need to finde one wich is compatible with sierra chart? or maybe the case is that every broker avaible out there is compatimble with sierra chart 7: this question maybe is out of this discussion line but, i was wondering if somebody could answer me how much money i need to start trading micro emini s&p 500 futures? can i trade with only 100 usd? if i take 100 usd position or in other words use all my 100 usd in a trade, do i need to have then more money in my broker account because of margin? what is margin? |
