I have an old SC study I bought a few years back (i have dll only) and found out that it also sends orders to the exchange. I would like to use the signal to trade manually but without its order execution. is there is a way to: 1. set the problematic study in SC instance 2 (which will be in sim. mode) and call it with price overlay study into my main SC instance? 2. set the problematic study in a chart without the ability to trade? how? how can i copy the signal to my main chart which i have more studies? |

If the study provides visual indicators of signals, you can use it on the main chart/instance (to see the signals), while removing its ability to send orders by unchecking the setting from title bar menu at "Trade" -> "Auto Trading Enabled - Chart".

in that way you suggested will I be able to trade only manually? what if I have another cht with charts that are auto trading? from what I have seen if I use overlay study it copies its trading abilities as well (which was not expected. i want only the chart signals) I am looking to control the study itself not to send order vis SC menus |

what if I have another cht with charts that are auto trading? "Trade" -> "Auto Trading Enabled - Chart" applies to the active chart, therefore the other charts with autotrading would not be affected. Trade Menu: Auto Trading Enabled - Chart (Trade menu) Do as 1+1=10 suggests, then overlay the signals onto the required chart. |
