The color of the chart outline is controlled by the Graphics Setting for Chart Scale Border. Refer to the information here:
Graphics Settings: Chart Scale Border

The size of that border is determined automatically and can not be changed.

I can't change the color of the borders of all my charts from white to anything else.

The Global Settings > Graphics Settings > Chart Tab Color (with individual chart control disabled elsewhere) doesn't change the color of anything as far as I can tell.

The "enable" box in this global field is not functional.

I hope I'm doing something wrong, but if I am, I can't figure out what it might be.

Thanks for your help,
Talmage

Do you have show title bar checked? If title bar is hidden then the border will not change colors.

Yes, I have "Show Title Bar" checked (in the chart menu). The problem must be something else.

The Global Settings > Graphics Settings > Chart Tab Color (with individual chart control disabled elsewhere) doesn't change the color of anything as far as I can tell.

The Chart Tab Color changes the color of the non-active chart tabs. This works just fine for us. You can not select the "Enable" option as it is always "enabled" - this is not something you need to turn on, it is always using the color that is set for this item.

For me, no change happens in any visible aspect of any charts when I try to change the color by doing this:
(Global Settings > Graphic Settings > Chart Tab Color > (with Tab selected: "Colors and Widths") > Color (click and change to any color) > Apply > OK.

This does not change anything on or around my charts.

Maybe the problem is that I don't know what "chart tabs" means, and we are talking about two different things. I'll try to clarify what I wish to change...

Around each of my inactive price charts (with candles showing price action) I have a white border that cannot be changed in color or width. (I understand that width is permanently fixed.) Personally, I would not expect anyone to call this border a "chart tab" because it's not a tab, it's a border, a "chart border."

I could try to send you a picture with an arrow pointing to what I'm talking about (the narrow white box-shaped border surrounding each chart).

Thank you for your patience with a very slow learner.

As we mentioned in Post #2, we think what you want is the "Chart Scale Border". Refer to the following:
Graphics Settings: Chart Scale Border

We pointed out the Chart Tab Color since you stated that specifically. The Chart Tab Color changes the background color of the Chart Tabs, which are the items at the bottom of your Graphics Area, under the Time scale (by default) that lists the different charts you have open and allows you to switch between them by clicking on one of them. By default, the active tab is blue and the inactive tabs are grey.

You're right, of course. I was wrong to assume that "Chart Tab Color" was what I needed to change. I apologize.

I have been trying to fix my "Chart Scale Border" problem for many months now, assuming these words describe the white boxes around the charts.

The reference you've given me, I've read and re-read dozens of time over the months, and I've tried to follow it again and again, but it does not tell me what to do. It says:

"Chart Scale Border
This sets the color of the border surrounding the graphics area and the left side of the Price Scale/Chart DOM."

That's accurate information, but it's not a simple instruction. A smarter person than I would instantly read it and know what to do, and how to find this "Chart Scale Border" button, but I can't find this button anywhere. I'm not even sure it is a button to be clicked.

Please imagine you're giving instructions to an unusually dumb older man who needs to know the complete sequence of buttons to click from start to finish. Example: Global Settings > Graphic Settings > etc.

Thanks again for generously giving me your time and attention, and for your tremendous patience.

Your appreciative pal,
Talmage

Are you referring to this area I have an arrow pointed at?
If so I don't think it can be changed.

Yes, that's the thin white box I'm trying to change. I believe you're almost certainly right that it can't be changed in color. Thank you for your generous help. :)

Hello,

This line, located into General Trade Settings, Cancel pending attach order immediatly upon parent cancel requested for DTC server,
is missing here:

Global Trade Settings Windows: General Trade Settings

Could you confirm the implication of putting yes as a value. I am not sure about DTC server client.

Also, Disable order Allocation To Trade Account On Chartbook Opening, is also missing, in the general tab.

Other settings are missing, but I was concern only by these two.

Regards

Yes. Refer to this setting:
Chart Settings: Display Region Dividing Lines (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Grid menu)

We will add independent color settings for this and also make the width adjustable.
