Updated to from non CLR v1110 to 1118, and lost my saved time alerts. Tried restoring the backup file from the backup folder, but it doesn't have them.

Any idea why they're gone/how to recover them, and how to prevent this on update?

Also could it be possible to update the symbol name to the current contract when re-arming a prior symbol alert after it has rolled?

Not sure why the Time Alerts would be lost. In regards to this we will make sure everything works properly as it should.

Also could it be possible to update the symbol name to the current contract when re-arming a prior symbol alert after it has rolled?
No. This is your responsibility.

Please consider that linking rolled symbols to alerts capability, as it would reduce one more unnecessary manual step of the roll process.

No messages in the log related to alerts.

Updated to v1282, in this or other recent update saved time alerts have been lost again, no error in message log.

Add a new Time Alert and restart Sierra Chart.

Is that new one you added, missing?

If you updated from a significantly older version, it is possible they will be missing. However, not going forward.

Newly added alert is saved on restart. FYI, version update was not very old, done every few weeks.
