On my Investor RT charts my relative volume for ES reads 1.00 and on my Sierra charts it reads 26.0. What could be the problem(s)?

We cannot help at all with comparisons to another program . This is not what we do. The documentation for the study is here: Relative Volume Make sure it is properly configured and you fully understand the calculations. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Good day, With all communications about RVOL, they refer to a number above or below 1. 1. Sierra Charts has very high numbers - am I doing something wrong? 2, Could one use RVOL also for the indices, or only for stocks? Many thanks. Deon |

1. We can not answer this, as there are too many variables. We assume you are using the Relative Volume study, but even if you are using another study, you simply need to understand how it works. All of our studies are fully documented and include information on the underlying calculations. 2. As long as there is volume information, then you can use the Relative Volume study. But, depending on what indices you are referring to, you may need to understand what the volume information implies.
