Lately, every time I restart Sierra Charts I have a lot of trouble reconnecting to OEC's futures data feed. This problem first surfaced about a month or so ago, when I resumed using Sierra Charts after taking some time off. When I reactivated my Sierra Chart subscription at that time I had to update to a newer version than I was using before, which may or may not have any bearing on this issue. All that I really know is that I never had any trouble with any of this before that.

Please find copied below an excerpt from the connection log. The last part will keep repeating every few seconds as the program times out and retries until I disconnect. At the time when this log file was made I had no trouble connecting to OEC from the same machine with OEC Trader or MarketDelta Trader. And Sierra Charts was OK until I needed to restart it to activate additional usage credits. So I know my network connections are OK and of course I have authorized Sierra Charts on my account via the OEC web site. Please advise. Thank you.

OEC can give you a definite answer about this. But we suspect that it is what is documented here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/openecry.php#ServerAvailability

Please contact OEC for further help.

It might not be because what we described in that link because what we see in this Message Log is different than what we have seen before which indicates the unavailability of the server, but most likely that is the reason.

Wow. Thanks very much for that speedy response on a Saturday evening!

I actually just now filed a support ticket with OEC as well regarding this problem. I couldn't say with certainty that I've seen this happen only on weekends previously, but it's possible... In any case, I didn't realize that Sierra Charts doesn't get its data from the same server as OEC trader, so I'll give it another try when the globex starts trading tomorrow evening. Hopefully that will turn out to be the resolution and then I'll know.

Thanks again.
