I currently have my SierraChart Version 5 platform subscription via my broker ILQ Futures (formerly Velocity Futures). ILQ is transferring all their accounts to Advantage Futures effective April 16, 2014. Through ILQ/Velocity I have a TT-Fix data feed. Advantage is offering a CTS or CQG feed. Will my current .scid files for ES-201406-CME,HG-201407-CME, and other products be compatible with both of the data feed options Advantage is offering me? I switched from Infinity to Velocity a few years back and had to adjust all my data since they used different formats so I'm concerned about compatibility with this change. Thanks, Steve |

TradePro Futures has a TT FIX feed. They also clear through ILQ.

You will need to change the symbol of the charts following the instructions here when you switch to a new Data or Trading service: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_SwitchingSymbols.html And fresh data will be downloaded for the new symbols. For the time being we recommend that you use CTS through Advantage. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Sierra Chart Engineering, Thanks for the symbol changing tips. I would like to save my existing .scid files for ES and HG. When I moved from Infinity to Velocity years ago I had to adjust all my data and rename the files. It sounds like I'll at least need to rename my files for a change from TT-Fix to CTS. Will I also need to adjust the data again? This issue is noted in the Version 1095 release notes: "â—¦One unexpected issue with data sharing between installed instances of Sierra Chart has to do with using data from one instance that has a decimal point difference compared to data for the same symbol in the destination instance". So I'm asking if you know whether this issue will come up using TT-Fix .scid data files with the CTS data feed after renaming the files to the CTS names. FYI I'm still opting to do my futures rollovers by adjusting the data from the end of the day prior to rollover. Then renaming the files as the new front month contract in lieu of employing the continuous contract feature. |

TT FIX to CTS T4 will involve renaming files and possibly adjustment of the price values through Edit >> Adjust Data: Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
