Hello,

I have a logon error while connecting to Rithmic. Please find attached the log. Can you tell me what to do to sort the problem out?

We do not know, it is just showing the following:
Rithmic Trading | Message from server: Server Alert: Market Data Connection Login Failed. Result text: "permission denied"

but, you are using the old interface to Rithmic, and this could be the issue. We have stopped support for that interface in the more recent versions of Sierra Chart, but you re still running 2299. But we do not know whether Rithmic might have stopped support for it. In the end, you would need to ask Rithmic why you are getting that message.

If you decide to use the new connection, which we recommend, then update Sierra Chart to the current release and then follow these instructions:

If I update Sierra Chart to the current release, will I still have the chartbooks that I have saved?

Yes. Unless you are updating from a very old version (like 200 versions previously) then all the data and settings stay the same.
