How to stop recent ask volume and recent bid volume from resetting

Hello!

I want to see Market orders as they come in and keep a historical record of them as they hit the market. So for-example if the current price is 45.20 and there were 5 limit orders and 10 market orders. Instead of seeing a total volume of 15 I just want to see the 10 market orders. And as price moves up or down I want to keep a historical record of these market orders.

I've been using Recent Ask Volume and Bid volume to accomplish this as it shows Market orders only I assume. But the numbers keep resetting. I found someone online whose didn't reset but I can't seem to replicate it on my sierra charts. I did go into Chart DOM settings and click NO on the reset recent bid/ask volume on bid/ask change. I've attached photos of my DOM my chart dom settings and what I would like to see.

How do I accomplish this?

Thank-you
Bhupinder

This is not making any sense to us. If there is a volume of 15 at a particular price, then that is what needs to be shown and there is no way to know the order types involved. One side would be limit orders and the other side would be limit or market/stop orders which would have met the resting limit orders. There is no way to know that though. Order types are not known.

How about adding the Current Traded Bid Volume/Current Traded Ask Volume columns to your DOM? It would show you the orders that went through at each side and not reset them like the Recent Bid/Ask Volume.

Yes and then you can manually reset those columns.

I'm actually having a problem with the Current Traded Bid Volume/Ask column. Whenever a limit order is initiated on the DOM, this column resets. Am I missing something in the documents that specify how I can prevent this? Thanks.

Refer to the following:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Clear Current Bid/Ask Volume on New Position (Global Settings >> Chart DOM Settings >> Other >> Other Settings)
