I'm sim trading ES on 2000 tick chart with Denani data feed - I'm in a trading group who's charts are printing differently to mine, they are mainly using Ninja Trader charts and all seem to have the bars printing in unison - I appreciate the odd tick or two would be different but this is more significant.

There are any number of reasons why the bars can be different. Refer to the following:

I've studied the link you sent, testing various settings with no change to my original settings.
I appreciate different data feeds may vary slightly, I've attached my mentor's Ninja Trader chart alongside mine to illustrate the difference - should the differences be more inline with each other, or are they normal being from different data feeds?

All we can say is that we stand behind our data feed and our calculations. We have looked at these kind of scenarios in the past and always found that the issue was with the other data feed. Therefore, it is not something that we are going to spend time delving into in order to figure out why these differences exist.

And, not that it should matter, but we notice that you have the Trade and Current Quote Symbol for that chart set to the same as the main symbol. So either you do not need to have that entered, or it is not entered correctly (maybe you wanted the MES?).

No, I want ES - I'm unsure why you need 'Symbol and 'Trade and Current Quote Symbol' ...
I turned the 'Trade and Current Quote Symbol' on yesterday to see if this was a fix...how do you turn it off?

Thanks

Can you compare when new bars begin with your mentors chart? Just looking at your screenshot makes me think the bars time frame aren’t exact.

Just blank it out (highlight the text in there and hit delete).

Thanks for you support

I've aligned the 2 charts the best I can, which are not quite accurate but I think you can see a time frame issue.
Here's the same screen grab with and without a grid ...

It really is close to impossible to get chart bars based on a number of trades, to match between different programs and data providers.

For all the information we have available on the subject, refer to:

I appreciate this, and I have no knowledge on it, apart from seeing other data providers having very subtle bar-by-bar differences compared with NJ charts, whereas SC are very different.

Review the help topic linked in post #9 to make the necessary adjustments to try to get a match as close as possible.

DanO, the really interesting question to answer would be "When using the same strategy as your Mentor over 100 trades, is your profitability ratio higher or lower?"
