Hi Team

I want to start live trading, currently I have the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and the U.S. Equities exchange is activated.
my broker is : Interactive brokers.
My questions is :1- do I have to subscribe in IB data or the ones from sierra chart is ok for live trading?
2- Do you still not recommended IB ? or it issues have been improved ?

1. No, you do not need the IB data if you are just trading from Sierra Chart. But, if you are going to do any trades directly within the IB software, then you will need to have their data for that system.

2. There are some issues that people see. This is why we have developed our own order routing, in order to not have the kind of issues that show up with other vendors. But, everyone's experience is different.

Your new own routing system, that means if I trade via sierra chart and even the broker is : IB, that will be ok, right?

If you are asking if you can continue to use IB for trading from Sierra Chart, even though we have developed our own order routing service, then the answer is: yes, you will be able to continue to trade with IB and any of the other services we support. We have no plans to remove these.

If, on the other hand, you are asking if you can use our Direct Order Routing with IB, then the answer is: No. IB uses their own order routing, and we would not expect them to replace it with ours.

I got it, anyway just to confirm to not have issues while executing order from sierra chart (and IB the broker)!

Still technical question if you don't mind, Now when I connect IB with sierra chart and execute trade from sierra chart, the order is going through your routing service to IB ? how it works ?

For the most part you should be fine. The main issue we hear about are listed in this section of the documentation:

No, this is not the case. When you submit an order it is going to the Trader Workstation software on your computer that we connect to and then is routed to the exchange by IB themselves. Our order routing does NOT work with IB.

If you want to use our routing services then you have to setup an account with one of the brokers that supports our service. Refer to the list in Step #2 of the instructions at the following link:
