Hi All I've seen a couple of threads about OpenGL and flickering... but they go a little deep for my tech level and I'm wondering if anyone has come across the actual real problem please? I am getting black flickering on charts and 100% gpu usage. I've updated all my windows, Radeon and Sierra drivers and versions... openGL version is 4.6. Reduced the charts to just what I need and only 1 instance open (when this is sorted I'll let the CPU draw other instances anyway). Radeon 580 with 8GB so the GPU is plenty big enough and never gets above 10% without sending the opengl work over to it. CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600 and never gets above 25% normally anyway. So, I'm guessing it is a problem with the Radeon gpu processing the opengl work sent to it but (to my common sense mind) it really should not burden it... so could it be some driver or config issue within the AMD/radeon I need to sort out? I am going to raise a ticket with them anyway but it seems it could also be specific to the Sierra interface? Any helpo direction of where to look next for solutions would be much appreciated Cad |
