Hello there, I am not exactly sure if a feature is missing that once had been there or if this is missing altogether. My Sierra is connected to my IB Broker account. I believe that when I used to place a limit order through the IB Trader Work station this order was also directly visible on my charts. For some reason I dont see this limit order any longer. I checked that it is the exact same product and that I also have the MES selected as my trade symbol in Sierra. When I place limit orders through the Trade Window inside the Dom in Sierra, the order will be displayed onto my other charts. But sometimes I prefer trading through the TWS. Again, I am not exactly sure if this feature used to be there, though I am sure it was. Any solution to this? |

Refer to the following: Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Orders Entered from Trader Workstation do Not Appear in Sierra Chart For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hello, thank you for the link. I understand that IB has major issues. 1) what I dont understand is if there is anything I can do to try to solve this problem. I disconnected the data feed and in client instance there is a 0. Is there anything else I could try? 2) I just played an order throught SC and earned 14 points but these will not show up in IB. Does this mean the 14 points are just lost bc it is not really connecting to IB? |

adding to my earlier post: 3) could you recommend a different Broker (trading technologies?) it seems that IB really causes lot of headaches 4) is there any way for me to check in the settings if IB does not connect properly to SC? |

1) The only thing you can do, that we know of, is what is listed already in the documentation. 2) We do not know, you would have to check your IB account. If the orders did not go through, then they simply did not get to the exchange to be a real order. 3) At this time, we would recommend waiting until we have our Direct CME Order Routing available. We expect to be rolling it out in October. It will be replacing our already existing Sierra Chart Order Routing Service, which uses TT for the actual connection to the CME exchange, whereas with our new service, we are handling the actual exchange connection ourselves. Note that this will be for the CME Group first and then we will be working on the EUREX. Therefore, if you are trading both the CME Group and EUREX (we see you are getting data for both), then you may need to stay with IB until we have connections to both exchanges, as there are not many brokers that have the connection to EUREX through TT for our current Sierra Chart Order Routing Service. 4) You can look at the Message Log to see what it states, but in terms of the orders not flowing one way or the other, that is something that occurs for which there is nothing that can be done. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
