Hello For some reason SC keeps locking up. I have downloaded the most current version. My message log says one of the .scid file is being used for another process, but I can't imagine what it is. Thank you for your help. Hello, Unfortunately the 'fix' was short-lived. I have gone into Microsoft Security Essentials and have excluded the Sierra Chart location, and have excluded the file types scid and dly. I do run NoScript which is a javascript blocker. Could this be causing the problem? Otherwise I use no other system security software. Well,I think I found the other process was a my external hard drive because once I disconnected it the 'other process' error has gone away. (see the log). However, SC continues to lock up when I interact with a certain chart. What info do you need on this chart? Thank you. Hello, Thank you for the documentation link, I believe that the studies may be causing this 'locking up' problem. I have looked at the studies section of the documentation and am wondering if 'hiding' a study is the same thing as 'turning it off' ? I am hoping that I will not have to remove and recreate the studies - my chart has 3 months of data and I want to review the history, but the study data is not important in that analysis, so it would be great if I could turn them off or even specify a start or end date for when I want to see them...? I apologize if these questions are stupid but I am just learning and am not sure of the most efficient ways to do things.
