Hi, I just want to confirm a few things. I have paid data through Sierra, do I need to always need my Interactive brokers TWS platform open in the background to trade? And just to make sure if I select Globel settings>data/trade service settings and select interactive brokers this means I am connected to my paid sierra/denali data and just connecting to my IB account for account balance information.? |

Assuming you are trading through Interactive Brokers, then Yes, you need to have the TWS software running. That is how we make the connection to Interactive Brokers. And just to make sure if I select Globel settings>data/trade service settings and select interactive brokers this means I am connected to my paid sierra/denali data and just connecting to my IB account for account balance information.?
As long as the setting for Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds is set to Yes, then you will be getting the real-time data from us for whatever exchanges you have activated with us. You are then getting all the rest of your trading information from your Interactive Brokers account, as long as you are not in Simulation Mode.
