Since the program update to 2293, my chartbooks have been very slow to close and causing the title bar (and process in the Task Manager) to display 'Not Responding', while this occurs.

I've attached a copy of one chartbook and 2 logs to this post. The timing issues can be seen in the in the last 60 lines of the 'bad' log file.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

I've currently gone back to 2280 and hope to upgrade after this issue is resolved.

Thanks in advance for any help.

We will try to reproduce this but we think it is doubtful.

Specifically where?:

Saved Chartbook: Chartbook3.Cht. Time: 0.0932 seconds. | 2021-08-26 21:13:26.003
Program is exiting. | 2021-08-26 21:13:43.545

This gap in time is when the program 'freezes'. This gap in time is larger, the longer the program is running. The longest I've seen it freeze is just over a minute.

I know you are all very busy, but I was wondering if anyone has had a chance to attempt to duplicate this issue?

Thanks.

No we are not able to duplicate this. If we know what revision number it began with, you can give us the revision number or revision range through Help >> About, we can see what changed around that time.

I know that it exits correctly in 2280 and doesn't in 2293, but I will attempt to isolate the issue further. Can you give me a list of released versions between 2280 and 2293? I can try every number from 2281 on, but I assume that not all numbers were used.

All numbers are used. We number our releases sequentially.

I can see the delay in closing the program beginning in Version 2281, 2280 is good.

We simply cannot reproduce the issue, and this must be system specific and it probably would be difficult for us to know what is causing the issue. Although we are going to have a look but we just do not want to give a false hope that we will figure out what the issue is.

Really what we need is build numbers which are shown in the About window within parentheses but we can work with version numbers.

I appreciate anything that can be done. This issue is only when exiting the application so is not debilitating, just frustrating.

Version 2280 64-Bit(37975M) - good

We figured out a different way we can definitely determine the problem by generating a crash dump file during this time.

We are working on the implementation of that.

Just touching base to see if any headway has been made on allowing/generating a dump file?

Thanks!
