Was working fine for months, issue is occuring recently. I havent changed any settings that im aware of. When i try to place a futures orders through SC, it's not going through to IB's platform. The order seems to be created within SC, but its not appearing on the IB side. Equities are working fine so seems to be communiting through the api fine. Also i'm able to make futures orders within the IB platform itself so i dont think its an account setting issue. I'm not getting any errors in the log files, just a couple of warnings (which also shows up for equities).

Trading message from IB: Warning: The 'EtradeOnly' order attribute is not supported.
Trading message from IB: Warning: The 'FirmQuoteOnly' order attribute is not supported.

If i restart the IB app, the orders disappear within SC after it reconnects to IB.

Can you guys test on your side and verify its not a platform issue? thanks.

We think the problem is related to the version number of the TWS client (Sierra Chart) and also the version number of the order message sent by Sierra Chart. There must be updates on the interactive brokers side, that are not supported by Sierra Chart and interactive brokers TWS is misinterpreting the data.

This is not a common problem. What version of TWS are you running?

Also have this problem with placing futures orders with IB. Version 985.1i It says the version is from Aug 3 at 4:04pm which makes sense because I had no problem yesterday.

Just to add to this, you first need to shut down TWS. Then restart, on the screen where you would enter your login and password, there is a light gray option at the bottom that says "More Options" which you access by clicking the down arrow.

After placing an order on Sierra Chart, my attached orders are not showing up on TWS ChartTrader as lines on the chart and neither on the orders summary on ChartTrader. The only thing that shows up on ChartTrader is my fill price as a line on ChartTrader. Any idea what the problem could be?

My orders do show in the TWS Orders screen.

I have updated to all the different versions: Latest, Stable, Beta.

My orders do show in the TWS Orders screen.
If you see them there, then Sierra Chart has submitted the orders to TWS. So there is nothing further we can do to help with this.

Please restate the error. We are not going to look through this old thread. We need to know exactly what is happening and the error message.

My apologies ... I get the New Order Rejected 'FirmQuoteOnly' order attribute is not supported error.

I've currently upgraded SC to pre-release 2456. I've also updated TWS to 10.20.1c. Previously (SC v2439, IB v10.19.1g), the error came from an order sent via ACSIL. I did not test whether sending a manual order worked. In the new SC & IB versions, I am able to manually send an order. I'm waiting to test if automated orders are successfully sent as well.

In newer versions of Sierra Chart that field is not set.

So you still encounter this in version 2456? Does not make much sense to us.

It does not matter how the order is sent. TWS does not know.

All is well.

To clarify, on SC v2439 (TWS v 10.19.1g), I was getting the error (on orders sent by ACSIL ... not verified if it also happens on manually sent orders). On SC v2456 (TWS v 10.20.1c), I just tested right now and both manually submitted and ASCIL submitted orders are going through without issue.
