I have started noticing this for a week or so. SC is behaving as if the downloaded data doesn't exist and keeps re-downloading the data every time. Using v. 2284

Steps to reproduce:
1) Create new chartbook. Add F.US.EPU21. Change interval to 30 minute, Days to load to 200 days, Continuous contract: Continuous Futures Contract - Date Rule Rollover. Wait for chart to fully load. Save and exit SC
2) Verify that F.US.EPH21.scid, F.US.EPM21.scid, F.US.EPU21.scid exist. A screenshot is attached
3) Start SC and load the saved chartbook

This triggers a re-download of all 3 data files that takes a long time (obviously). I can attach the log if requested. Thanks.

Also, SC thinks that symbol EPU21 needs rollover which isn't true. See attached.

Updated to latest v. 2288, updated Symbol Settings to server. No help.

It's not like the data files are damaged or anything. I can create charts with no continuous contract enabled for F.US.EPM21 etc. and they load instantly with no re-download of data.

F.US.EPH21 gives a weird error (see attached) but loads fine.

This is some symbol settings issue in SC servers methinks.

I am noticing that charts on F.US.EPU21 is completely ignoring the continuous contracts feature. F.US.EPU21 with continuous contracts on with a 200 day load just loads data from F.US.EPU21. Please fix ASAP.

FWIW, the problem is localized to EP. NQ works fine, for example.

Follow the instructions here to update the symbol settings:
Global Symbol Settings: Update Global Symbol Settings

And be sure to disable the custom symbol settings. You may have inadvertently changed the continuous contract settings for that symbol which is causing all these various issues.

1) I did. See post #2
2) CME changed their session settings and your default settings are now wrong for these symbols. All I have changed is session end time, evening end time etc. to match new correct session times
3) I have changed it for both EP & NQ. NQ works fine, EP does not
4) There are other issues I have pointed out like F.US.EPH21 giving error
5) "You may have inadvertently changed the continuous contract settings": I am not sure what I may have changed. All I do is F5 -> Advanced Settings -> Choose one of the continuous contract options offered.

Thanks.

Hmm. Unchecking the "Use Custom Symbol Settings Values" did indeed fix the problem. The session time values are wrong, but the charts look okay. but will take it

The text "requested symbol was not found" must be coming from CQG in this case. It is not a Sierra Chart error message. We are not sure why that would be occurring.

Perfectly fine to change the Session Times but that will not cause these issues. Have a look at the Continuous Contract related settings for that symbol in Global Symbol Settings.
