Searched the board, but didn't see anything related to this. It's not a big deal, just a minor annoyance.

I have six products I trade, and I keep a DOM/Trade Window open for each during the trading day. I close SC down every evening when I put the computer to sleep. The next morning when I fire up my charts/DOM's some of them come up with a trade window, and some of them don't. There really isn't any rhyme or reason to which one has a trade window and which one doesn't. It changes periodically.

1. I have trade windows open on all DOM's when I shut Sierra down in the evening.
2. The trade windows are NOT "physically" attached to the DOM. I keep them floating.

Is there any way to have things exactly the way I left them when I start up the next day? A minor annoyance, but curious as to why some of them persist, and some don't.

We are not sure what to do about this. We are not able to reproduce it and we suspect, this can be a system level issue especially if the behavior is inconsistent.

Well, it's not that big of a deal. Thanks anyway.

This is just a WAG - wild-azz guess, but you might try using the Sierr Chart -Reset Windows - menu item. I used it once when some of my windows were doing some funky things.

https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/WindowMenu.html#:~:text=Reset%20Windows%20(Window)&text=If%20the%20main%20window%20is,Windows%20from%20the%20window%20menu.

Reset Windows (Window)

This command resets the main chart window, all Values Windows, and the log windows to their default positions and size. Use this command if any of the windows are not visible. If the main window is not visible but shows up on your taskbar, then right click over the Sierra Chart icon on the taskbar and select Maximize. You can then select Reset Windows from the window menu.

I have the same issue. I created one chartbook with 2 DOMs and floating trade windows as a template for 6 more which I have open at the same time. Every time I open the chartbooks only one will have the floating trade windows. I've tried 'Window > Reset Windows' as well as 'Chart > Reset Child Windows' but doesn't make a difference.

Would be great to have a fix for this as it is especially time consuming when I'm using a VM instance for trading. Thanks.
