Hello,
I am using the "Swing High and Low" study on daily and hourly charts with the option "Extend Swings Until Future Intersection" set to "Yes". I'm looking to use the "Study/Price Overlay" Study to display these line extensions from the daily and hourly charts on smaller timeframe charts and there is indeed an option on the "Study/Price Overlay" Study that does exactly that. However, the lines are not extended until future intersection as the "Swing High and Low" study extension lines are intended to work but rather the lines are extended to right edge of the chart crossing over every bar were price has traded through these swing highs and lows which renders the "Study/Price overlay" Study for the "Swing High and Low" study unusable. As im sure you know the relevance of higher timeframe swings to lower timeframe trading cannot be overemphasized. I have taken the time to review all relevant documentation and tried different workarounds myself but I'm afraid I didn't get far. Please clarify or advise as to a proposed solution or workaround.
Thank you for your time!

We are not seeing any issue with this at all. We took a 30 minute chart with the Swing High and Low and overlaid them on to a 1 minute chart and the start and end times for the extension lines match to the original chart.

Here is what we see when we do this:

Hello and thank you for your response.

The problem can be recreated by changing the number of days on the lower timeframe so that it does not match the number of days on the higher timeframe. Perhaps there is more to it, but that is what I managed to find out in an effort to assist in recreating the problem. I have attached 2 screenshots of a daily and a 1 minute chart. The screenshots will show the chart settings window with the values i use on the days to load. I hope this helps point out the issue.

Thank you for your time!

What you are seeing makes sense, since it is trying to match up all the data from the Renko chart with all the extra bars to the Volume chart without them. Try setting the Bar Time Matching Method to Containing Match.

Hello, It seems the issue is persisting despite the change. Please find attached the results after changing the "Bar Time Matching Method" to "Containing Match" on the 1 minute candlestick chart.

Thank you, your time and help is greatly appreciated!

On closer inspection, what we see is that what you are doing is showing the correct information. You are taking data from a DAILY chart and displaying it on a 1 minute chart. The most recent swing (going backwards in time), occurred 3 days prior and does not intercept another bar, therefore it is going to show the line going all the way across the chart. The same is true for many of the more recent swings, which gives you the lines you are seeing.

Any swing that did intercept another bar is further back in time than what you have displayed in your chart. The swing would have to have stopped at the current day's bar to show up in the 1 minute chart you have.
