Evaluate New Bar and Trigger Alert Based On Opening Price. One of the options available in the Alerts tab is to Evaluate On Bar Close. I want to Evaluate on Bar Open. |

Even with the option to "Evaluate On Bar Close" unchecked, the system continues to behave as if the box is checked and evaluates the condition at bar close. I use Flex Renko Bar Period Type and the Graph Draw Type HL Bars. I use the "Renko Visual Open/Close Values" study to paint the open and close values. I need the system to evaluate the Open value only at the open of a new bar. Thank you |

There is no support to only evaluate the formula at the very first trade of a new bar, nor is there a way to force this option since these are Renko bars and not time-based (if they were time-based, then you could check the time and only alert within the first 1 second (or so) of the opening of the bar. The only option to do what you want would be to code your alert in ACSIL. You might be able to signal on price exceeding either of the two subgraphs of the Renko Bar Predictor study. A new bar is not created until one of these is exceeded. You would need to uncheck 'Evaluate On Bar Close'. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-07-07 17:42:07
