How do I stop Bid/Ask Volume Bars Graph Draw Type from Repainting/Resizing?

After applying the Bid Ask Volume Graph draw type to a chart, the width and the color of all bars to the left constantly change as a new bar is being created.

Not sure why this would even be a feature but is there any way to get rid of this happening?

Can't find anything in the Graph Draw Type documentation about this.

Thanks.

What is your Bar Period Type set to?

Number of Trades Per Bar. Doesn't matter what number of ticks.

Also happens with Volume Per Bar and Range charts too though.

Can you please get us 2 screenshots showing what you are seeing. We are not able to reproduce this.

Here's an image of the chart settings. It's better to show you in a video what happens in real time which is also attached. This is a replay from Globex. You can clearly see what's happening.

Sorry for the delay, we wanted to check on a few things related to the replay.

What you are seeing is the normal functioning for this type of bar. The widths and colors are dependent on the size of the maximum Bid and Ask Volume for the chart, so as new bars are added the previous bars need to be adjusted for the sizes of the new bar.

When you are running in replay mode with a faster speed, it becomes more obvious, but it is still the same thing that you are seeing.

So there's no way to get rid of it?

This behavior is no less obvious during real time trading. That's only 10x replay.

Curious as to why is the calculation based on the max bid/ask for the chart?

If someone were using this to trade order flow intraday (which, imo, is the most likely use), it is literally un-usable.

The width of the bar is based on the relative size of the volume, therefore there is a dependency on the maximum volume.
