Hello there,

I have some trouble correctly displaying the VP on my daily chart. On the first screenshot you see my daily chart with each day displayed in the form of a market profile and an adjecent volume profile. The view is a little bit more zoomed in than the view on the second screenshot.

My problem is that when I zoom out, the blueish bars of the volume profile (which do not belong to the value area) suddenly disappear as can be seen on the second screenshot.

Im pretty sure it has to do with the settings of the VP that the settings I have keep the profile from being displayed correctly. Therefore, I attached I third screenshot that has the settings of my VP that I believe are responsible for this error.

Any pointers?

Hi there,

thanks for the reply. Attached is the file. I did what the instruction told me. I tried to strip down any unnessary studies but I couldnt delete the TPO profile as this would have erased the VP as well.

The reason for what is happening is because you have the Subgraph for Volume Bars Outline and Fill Color set to a Width of 0. Therefore, it is not putting in a color for the outline, but the outline itself is still taking up small amount of space. Then, when we draw the rectangles, the outline is drawn last, therefore when the VbP is very small, you are just seeing the outline, which is the same as the background, hence it just disappears.

If you make the outline a Width of 1, it will solve the problem. If you really want it to be a different color, then you can change the colors for that subgraph to what will work best for you.
