Sorry, I must have missed that post.

The best way to do what you want would be to create a chart for each time period (1 day and 15 minutes), that way you have the cumulative volume for the time period of each bar. Then use one of the Moving Average studies based on the Volume. Note that the Volume is a subgraph of the Main Price Graph, so it is directly available.

Hi John :)

I always get a pause in my data feed at this time 16:30 ET (21:30 GMT my time). It is currently happening, my charts do not have a session break in them - i have split to evening a day session but I do not have any gaps...

My connection status is Green - but price charts are not moving and nor is the DOM - this happens every day and last from around 21:25 my time for about 20/30 mins - it seems like it may be duye to the delayed feed I am using but still based on my chart settings there should still be a continuous feed?

Can you think of a reason why this mgiht be happening?

many thanks buddy :)

If this is the CME Group data, then it is due to the exchange hours. Refer to the Trading Hours for the ES for example on this page:

We see you added funds on 5/28/2021 to cover the cost of the Package renewal on 5/28/2021. But that left your account with zero balance, so when the exchange fee came due today, you did not have enough funds to cover the cost of the exchange.

You need to add enough funds to your account for the exchange fee, and then you can reactivate the exchange at the bottom of this page:

Hi John,

I have the issue exemplified in the attached image!

I have a DOM running in a separate instance of sierra which seems to have a position open but I cannot get rid of it!

I am not sure which situation is exactly what is happening, so try the following:

1. In the Sub-Instance, set Trade Simulation Mode to On/Enabled, then try to flatten the position.

If that does NOT work, then do the following:
2a. In the main instance, set Trade Simulation Mode to On/Enabled.
2b. Go to the Trade Positions and see if the position is listed there.
2c. If it is, then try to flatten the position.
2d. Go back to the Sub-Instance and ensure that Trade Simulation Mode is Off/Disabled.
2e. Verify that the position is closed out.

Hi John I tried this and it did not work - is there any way that the engeneers can go in and close it remotely?
[2021-06-08 21:34:57]
John - SC Support - Posts: 31337
It's a simulated trade, so there is nothing we can do remotely. You can always reset your simulated orders back to a default "null" state by selecting Trade >> Clear Trade Simulation Orders and Data. Refer to the following to understand that this will do:
Trade Menu: Clear Trade Simulation Orders & Data (Trade menu)

I assumed that you would not want to do that. Hence the ideas above and more below.

If you go to the Main Instance, is that position showing? Or is it just in the Sub-Instance?

I need to know if that order is showing in just one instance (and which one) or both (the main instance and the sub-instance)?

What I am trying to understand first, is whether this order was put in when the Sub-Instance was in Simulation Mode or not. It can get confusing, as the Main Instance may be in Simulation Mode, but the Sub-Instance is not, so the Sub-Instance sees the order as a non-simulated order, but the main instance is seeing it as a simulated order.

Also, it may mean that you have to remove the Order Fill in the Main Instance and not in the Sub-Instance.

When you find the fill let me know if it is a Simulated symbol or not. You may have to switch between the options for the symbols between the Simulated and Non-Simulated to find it.

Open the Trade Activity Log and set the Activity Filter to Fills, then select the "Apply" button to update the information in the Trade Activity Log. Refer to the following for information on how to use the filter options at the top of the Trade Activity Log:
Trade Activity Log: Viewing Historical Trade Activity

Note that you will want to work with the Symbols filter as well to find the right item as to whether it was a Simulated or Non-Simulated order.
