Here is the message I get when updating chartbooks this morning. I get the same message on versions 1095 and 1102. I was trying to download using the SC Historical Data.

HD Request # 33 - Error downloading historical Daily data for DDM. Not downloading any data. Maximum downloads exceeded for the day. Limit 700. 2014-03-06 10:05:40

I get the same message for other ticker symbols. I can't find anything in the documentation about this limitation. Why the limit?

I get the same message when using Interactive Brokers as the feed. I tried these three options on the edit menu:
1. Edit Data - Historical Chart
2. Download data - Historical Chart
3. Delete All Data And Download

When testing symbol MUB using IB as the data feed, I get the record for today, but not the data for Monday thru Wednesday.

About how many symbols are you tracking today using Historical Charts?

I cannot find in the log where the problem started (some symbols updated correctly), but I have 234 symbols in my chartbooks. Initially this morning, I was not trying to track all of them but opened other chartbooks later while testing.

We have temporarily solved this for you. Restart Sierra Chart.

234 symbols should not be a problem.

I'm now on version 1103, and the problem has not been fixed.

What "configuration" files would I need to save if I deleted Sierra Chart and reloaded it? I would like to keep my settings, configurations, etc. so that I don't have to rebuild all of that. Thanks.

I counted the files that were updated today, and 198 changed (not all have correct data). I've tried IB data and SC Historical. For some files, I was able to get intraday data on some ETFs.

We are not going to help you with deleting Sierra Chart. That makes no sense to solve a problem like this.

We see what the issue is. We have temporarily resolved it for you. Restart Sierra Chart again.

You cannot look at the number of files changed. It depends upon how many historical data downloads were made to the Sierra Chart Historical Data service.

Also, package 5 will give you 1500 downloads per day from the Sierra Chart Historical Data service. We are not quite sure why you hit the limit of 700, but we expect that this is not a usual condition. So this should not be a problem going forward.
