I have been recently updating my PC to new CPU + MB + RAM and now today also added a M.2 SSD with a read speed of app 5400MB/s where I newly installed SC onto. Though I do see a speed increase with that SSD on startup of SC and on load times when changing bar duration on high data symbols (as ES), the increase is not as much as I had expected, as SSD is like 10 times faster than the old one. Now, I dont want to waste your time, I do not have performance issues, but I was wondering what the speed is, that SC is opening those big intraday data files. Hm, Just reading right now that a CB should open in 5sec max. Well no, mine take longer, but its many charts in it. like up to 30. No need to past me the performance increase suggestion threads. I am aware of them, as said do not rally have any issues (since new cpu) anymore, but was just asking myself the above point. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-03-19 13:44:53

OK, guess you can forget question. All the delay just comes from too big intraday data files.

actually Id still be interested in the max speed sierra can read/open the intraday files. wondering if that fast SSD is worthwile at all or if I better put windows on it and sierra on the normal ssd.
