Highlight imbalances with text colouring(numbers bar)

Hello Sierra team. In column 1 i have a bid vol x ask vol with a backround type of ask/bid vol split profile with a backround colouring method of based on diagonally dominant side ask vol x bid vol percentage.So far so good. Now i want to highlight imbalances >400% with text coulouring at the same column. When i select at column 1 text colouring method based on diagonal dominant side ask vol bid vol percentage(If i choose right) i can control the colouring from the selection ranges 0-3 up/down colour texting.But i can't adjust the percentage of the imbalances.I go to column 1 percent compare threshold and type .4, .4, .4, but it doesn' seem to work.Even if i type 1,1,1 or 9,9,9 the there is no change at the imbalances. What am i doing wrong? |

What exactly happens when you you change the Percent Compare Thresholds? One of the issues you will have is that you are using a Percentage basis for both the Background and Text coloring, and there is just one control for the Percent Compare Thresholds, so when you change those Percent Compare Thresholds, you should see coloring differences in the Background and in the Text. Additionally, if you did not change the Input for Use Separate Colors for Text Coloring Method and change the Range # Up/Down Color for Text to a different set of colors, then it will be impossible to see the numbers. If you could give us a Chartbook with just the one chart in it that has the Numbers Bars as you have them setup, then we can take a look and see what might be happening. Before i send the chartbook,is possible to have the imbalances highlighted with text colouring coupled with the below setup? column 1 numbers text = bid vol x ask vol column 1 backround type = ask/bid vol split profile column 1 backround colouring method = based on diagonally dominant side ask vol x bid vol percentage |

It is not easy. First, you would have to make sure you are using the separate colors for Text as we noted above. The other issue is the Percent Compare Thresholds using the same values for the Background and for the Text. If you can live with the Background Coloring also replicating some of what you are looking for in the text coloring, then it is fine. But if you really want to see separate items, then you should use a different method. We would recommend using the Volume at Price Threshold Alert V2 to denote the imbalances in combination with your Numbers Bars.
