Hi, I had an open account with you last year. I used DTN for the data feed cause it was so good...and most others I looked at didnt seem like they had accurate volume reporting. DTN says they monitor every tick. I recently heard you guys improved your data? Could you please comment, not with just a " its good" please. Did you make changes and improve it? Last, how much does it cost per month for your data feed for just ES data.

Thanks

Tom

In regards to:
"improved your data?"

Sierra Chart supports data from various sources and supports many markets.

In no case in the past, was data our own data. If it has been improved upon, it would have to be an improvement from the particular external service it originated from. This is a very important point to be aware of.

However, Sierra Chart now does offer its own futures and index feed. This is documented here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php

We highly recommend using this over external services.

Interesting, thanks. So the total cost for one month is like $42 for SC and $35 for your data feed...nothing else?

Thanks

Tom

The price of Sierra Chart package 5 is 40 USD a month if you are interested in package 5.

The data feed is 35 USD a month plus exchange fees. Keep in mind there are exchange fees now which apply to the CME unless you subscribe before midnight February 28.

At this time the Fee for the CME is 16 USD.

I am trying to get a month paid for AND get the futures activated before midnight to avoid the exchange fees. I submitted the futures exchange agreement, it says it takes 24 hours.

Usage time has been added to your account from the Additional Services Balance.

The market data feed has been activated and paid for until the end of March for your account. However, the CME exchange is not currently enabled. Since your market data feed agreement got approved in March 1 according to GMT time, technically it is too late to get the fee waiver. We will see if there is something that can be done, but that will be special handling which will take time.

Starting Sunday evening if you want real-time CME data, you will need to enable the exchange as explained at steps 6 and 7 here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#SetupInstructions

Otherwise, you will not get the real-time data.

We will see if we can get you the fee waiver until 2015. But we make no promise. It would have to be approved.

Hi,

Yesterday I put $80 in my SC account, $40 for monthly SC, $35 for SC data. I was told I had to get signed up by midnight to waive the exchange fees. Today, when I go to activate the CME exchange it says I dont have enough money? What am I missing?

Thanks

We will get you activated for the CME exchange with the exchange fee waiver. We expect this to get done before Sunday evening.

There is nothing further you need to do on your site.

The only thing to do is to restart Sierra Chart right before the Sunday open.

Thanks for all your help! I am running now and about figured it out. Previously I used @ES# for the continuous future, that doesnt seem to work now. I did symbol look up and used /ESH4 and it works, but cant seem to get a continuous symbol though? Is there one?

Thanks,
Tom
