Color Background Between Two Vertical Lines (not studies)

Is there a way to color the background between two randomly placed vertical lines. For example, I have a chartbook whereby I place a couple vertical lines on a higher time chart and they are also shown on a lower timeframe chart. I would like a way to have the background colored on the lower timeframe chart between these two vertical lines (e.g., green background for an area to go long or red background for an area to go short). These are vertical lines and not specific studies...I am sure there is a way to do this, but I can not find how..

There really is not a way to color between vertical lines, and certainly no way to color between drawings (they need to be subgraphs to color between them).

The best option is to use the Color Background Based On Alert Condition and determine what your conditions are when you would be drawing the lines to automate the process. Refer to the information on this study here:
