Is there a way to place orders on the DOM and get notified via some mechanism that an order has been placed? Even doing so on a simulated account would work, as I really just need to be aware of the orders, so that I can then take further action elsewhere on those orders being placed. I know that SC has ACSIL for automated trading, but I'm not sure it covers this use case. Thanks! |

Refer to the settings for Notifications starting here: Global Trade Settings Windows: Open Trade Orders Window When Order is Completed (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> Notifications) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thanks John -- these notifications all seem to point to GUI elements (play a sound, open a window, etc.). To be clear, there seem to be no programmatic API I can hook into to be notified, correct?

There are options for the Alerts through ACSIL. Refer to the following, in particular: ACSIL Interface Members - Functions: sc.SetAlert() For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
