Hi, I see from the documentation that I can have access to 2 different trading services at the same time, but it is not clear how I should proceed in my particular case. This login, was previously associated with Dorman Trading, it retains a balance of around $20 but currently not in use as I moved to Amp. With Amp I route thru CQG, and have another a/c with you for which you are paid thru AMP. I trade US stocks via IB, but am finding their charting and order type capabilities poor and would like to move my US stock trading across to you via the IB trading service within Sierra Chart. I would like to continue with AMP/CQG for futures. Please could you advise on the best way to proceed in order to achieve this. Thanks Ian |

All you need to do is setup a second installation of Sierra Chart and connect that to your IB account. You will then have 2 installations, one for CQG and one for IB. Refer to the information at the following link: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time --------------------------- Also - it is important that you post from an active account. The easiest way to do this is to access the Support Board from within your Sierra Chart Software by selecting Help >> Support Board. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thanks John, however I have followed the documentation to the point where I change the data/trade service settings in my new instance, but the drop down gives Interactive Brokers (not enabled on package) [trading] I believe I already have the advanced package with AMP/CQG so this should work? Thanks |

Thank you for logging in with your active account. Since you get your Sierra Chart through AMP, you do not have access to other services, even with Package 5. You would need to change to a Direct Account with us in order to get access to both CQG and Interactive Brokers at the same time. Refer to the information here: Direct Sierra Chart Account For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Got it. I will ask AMP to close my account with you on Friday but retain my CQG login. Next Monday I will fund my old Ian Hampson account and pay you direct for package 5 Thanks |

Hi, I have now gone back to paying you direct and as you said Interactive Brokers is available to connect under Data/Trade Services. I believe I have gone thru the correct procedures from the documentation to create a copy of Sierra Chart, and I have successfully connected to the IB API and am able to display stock charts using the basic tickers eg AAPL. However the 2 copies of SC seem to retain a connection, I have been working on a new layout for IB, which I have saved, but now when I open my original copy which should refer to my CQG feed instead I get a second identical copy, connected to IB. I had understood that I could run both copies simultaneously and independently, switching between both in the 'Windows' system toolbar? Please could you advise. Thanks.

The two installations should be independent of one another. If you copied all the files from one to another, then it's most likely that you are just seeing the same information repeated and you would just need to update one of the copies to change the information. The other thing to look at, just to make sure it updated properly, is the setting for Global Settings >> General Settings >> Data Files Folder. Make sure that this is set correctly for each individual installation and that it is not pointing to the same location for both installations. It should be set to the local installations Data file.
