My use case:
- I scrape daily data that I want to chart. The data ends up as several .dly files in the SC data folder, e.g. CUST_SYM_1.dly CUST_SYM_2.dly
- I wanted add CUST_SYM_2 to a historical chart of CUST_SYM_1.
- Use cases: overlaying one on top of the other, using additional symbol for other arithmetic study inputs (e.g. difference / ratio between the two)

Problem:
- I couldn't figure out how to add the data from CUST_SYM_2.dly as an input for the Add Additional Symbol study (Add Additional Symbol) because it wasn't showing up in the "Find Symbol" window.

Solution:
- It turns out that instead of using the "Find Symbol" window, I can directly refer to a symbol by its filename as long as the file is in the Sierra Chart Data folder.

Maybe you guys want to clarify in the study docs that you can refer to a symbol directly by its filename. Sorry, if it's mentioned somewhere else. Just some feedback on how to improve the docs.

Yes this is true and we have now updated the documentation.

The Find Symbol button is there just for convenience. But you can put whatever symbol you want in the box.
