Hi Sierra Chart Engineers, I am sorry to re edit my question. I spent the last two days reading documentation and blogs on TMS but I cant get it to run how I'dlike to. Basically, I am trying to use a stop from a study (i.e. using TMS for the stop) and the fixed targets from trade window. While the stop works, the targets do not appear if an order entry is triggered. I tried to set up target columns in the spread sheet and use TMS for these as well, but once an order is triggered they show levels which are not from the referenced column in the spreadsheet or the trade window and I can't make out where these levels come from. Any input and help on the correct way to set up/connect trade window and TMS is greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Andre Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-02-05 12:31:49

First, what method do you want to use to do your trading? It sounds like you want to use the Trading Window and set your Targets and Stop in the Attached Orders then use the Trade Management By Study to adjust your Stop as things change. Given that we are understanding this correctly, let's work through the issue you are having with this, which appears to be that the Targets are not showing in the chart. Can you please save your Trade Window settings as a Trade Configuration (if you do not already have it as one) and then attach that configuration to this thread for us to take a look at it. Refer to the following for how to save a Trade Configuration: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Saving Trade Window Configuration And refer to the following for how to attach a file: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#AttachFile For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi John, I'd like to use the fix targets from the trade window, and the stop from TMS which refernces a column on my spread sheet (column V) My trade window config is attached as well as a screenshot of the TMS settings. Thank you very much for your help. Andre |

We are not seeing any issue with your configuration setup. And we are able to see the attached targets without any trouble. Can you please attach a screenshot showing what you are seeing and the lack of the Targets? Hi John, Sorry for the long time but things were a bit crazy here. I set up a new .twconfig to test the stops but it does not set the stop where I want it. So the Stop problem is back... above I had an issue with the targets which I did not yet test and only want to do that when the stops are working propperly. The stop should be $J$9-2 for the initial stop which comes from R3 in the spreadsheet with the following formula: =MROUND(IF($J$8>0,$J$9-2,IF($J$8<0,$J$9+2,0)),0.25). It is set to update every second in TMS. It appears that R3 gets overridden by the offset set to 0 in the TMS study. I attached all relevant screenshots. Thank you for any guidance in advance. Hi John, I hope you are well. I did some replaying and i can't figure out what is preventing TMS not to take action. I changed the above Stop trigger as I thought the problem might be that the stop only gets triggerd if $J$8<>0. However, this does not solve the problem as you can see in the attched screenshots. As said above, cell R3 is intended to feed the stop levels to TMS. Attached, you will see the levels in R3 vs what is happening in the replay. Again, any help is SUPER appreciated as I am completly stuck and read all threads and documentation. Kind regards, Andre Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-02-17 12:27:03

We do not see anything that should cause any issues. The one thing we want to point out though, is that you have the TMS Input for Only Modify Stops in One Direction to Yes. Is this perhaps why you are not seeing what you expect, that the Stop is only going to adjust up and not both up and down?
