I just installed Sierra Chart and have a few questions about limits on the free trial. 1.Sierra Chart Historical Data has 36 months of 1 minute intraday data and 30+ years of daily data. Is that all available to the free trial? 2.I track 350 stocks, mostly large cap. Is there a limit to the number of stocks that can be used with the free trial? 3. Where are the settings that control how much historical data to download and how many days of data to load for a chart? Can it be done globally or only on a chart by chart basis? |

1. We are not sure of the purpose of the question. Those limits are not not necessarily accurate. It depends upon the symbol, the data type and the particular Data or Trading service being used. The general answer is that the trial places no limits on the time length of data downloaded. And the amount of data you can get, you have to determine through actual testing because there are so many variables involved. 2. Yes. 3. The purpose of the question was to find out if the software trial period had any limitations. I ran across one today. "HD Request # 197 - Error downloading historical Intraday data for SO. Not downloading any data. Maximum downloads exceeded for the day. Limit: 200 | 2014-02-25 12:04:19" Apparently I can only download 200 items per day. it would be nice if the trial limitations were listed somewhere that is easy to find. |

Yes on the trial there are 200 historical data downloads per day with the Sierra Chart Historical Data Service. With package 3 it is 700. With package 5 it is 1500.
