Hi. I want to submit auto trades into IB and keep using FXCm data. Being that the symbols are unmatched, how would I submit to ib and use fxcm data.

ex eur/usd in fxcm is eur.usd-idealpro-cash.

thanks

Hi. I followed the directions step-by-step. Sierra1-my original one has SC Forex. I then installed and configured Sierra_IB with IB trading service. I get stuck in step4 of "Sharing data between...." When I click find symbol, the instance drop box is grayed out and only has the value of "Interactive Broker (this instance). How do I pull any chart using sierra 1 as the source. Thanks

Thanks that worked. I have a question regarding using fxcm as data and autotrading with IB. Let' take EUR.USD (eur.usd-idealrpo-cash in IB).

If I a basing my buy triggers from fxcm data (ex adx(x) >20 then submit buyorder) but submitting a limit order using ib's data-like bid/offer ) Do I have to have the chart of eur.usd open using fxcm instance AND eur.usd-idealpro-cash IB instance chart open as well?

As a followup question to post 5, if I want to create an indicator for a 60m chart based on 5/10/30m timeframe, I realize that I need to open 3 charts. If I trade x 50 Fx tickers, I am now looking at 150 charts open. Given the use of fxcm SC Forex data, am I close to some limit (performance issues or otherwise) that will make autotrading not advisable? Thanks.

No.

You will have to do your own testing. Sierra Chart does not impose a limit in this area.

Please reference post #6 regarding having 150 charts open(charts 1,2,3,4 referenced by chart 5 for a price/overlay study PER ticker)

I was wondering if there is a way to set up only about 5 charts which would do 1 ticker, then programatically load the next ticker at a time, let's say every 10 seconds,--possible to load ticker, calculate the indicators, fire off limit orders, then go on to next ticker ...

It is possible to programmatically change the symbol of the chart. You need to use this ACSIL variable:
