[Locked] - New Billing Model For Sierra Chart through Brokers

Currently Sierra Chart is offered through some brokers like AMP, Transact and some other brokers. The model of billing through these brokers is an older model that we are going to be changing to put the user in complete control, and thereby also allows Sierra Chart to be more in control by being able to help users directly with enabling and disabling services. Basically brokers will no longer be creating Sierra Chart accounts themselves unless they want to create one on your behalf. You will create your own Sierra Chart account here: https://www.sierrachart.com/RegisterStep1.php And then you can request individually or all of the following services to be billed through a broker that wants to support billing of the services through a trading account that they are maintaining for you: -Sierra Chart usage time -Denali exchange data feed -Order fill billing (for Sierra Chart provided order routing services where a fee applies) You can have some of these billed to your trading account, all of these billed your trading account, or none of them. In all cases if you want to have them billed to your trading account, the clearing firm/broker has to approve that request. This is a general overview of what we are planning. The broker will then have programmatic and web services online portal based access to all of the billing data at any point in time. When a broker accepts billing for a particular service for a particular user they can cancel it at any time. And in which case going forward the user is responsible for paying for the service. Risks with this feature: You could be billed by your broker, for services that we are no longer billing them for just due to their own internal billing methods and oversights. We may not receive payment, for services we have billed a broker for. These are things to keep in mind before deciding to use this service. This is up to AMP how they want to handle that. Not us. We are not going to get into the middle of this. If AMP wants to offer Sierra Chart for free, that is up to them but there is going to be a price increase. So we doubt it will continue to be free. We are going to provide unrestricted packages at standard pricing and then users can have the option to pay for that through their broker. The advantage is you have unrestricted functionality and there is no questions coming up about restrictions. ---- In February 2021 you will begin to pay for Sierra Chart.
