Pointer tool not aligned to crosshair center

I noticed this when I switched to Open GL. I couldn't say exactly if it occurred in regular graphics mode after last update. But this makes selecting drawing a chore since it selects based on where the crosshair is, and not where the pointer is (which is slightly below the crosshair)

Every time we have come across this it has turned out to be an Operating System issue. The first, easiest thing to try is to reboot your system and see if that resolves it. Also check your pointer settings to make sure that it is properly calibrated to the screen.

Those things have not helped. I can confirm this only occurs in OpenGL graphics mode. Note: it does not occur at all on one of the charts on my screen, but does on the other two. I'm not sure if a chart setting has any relation to this. Additionally, on the two culprit charts, the pointer is PERFECTLY aligned at the bottom of the charts viewable portion. As you move the pointer up to the top viewable portion, it becomes steadily misaligned.

Check this setting:
Chart Settings: Adjust Tool Values to Tick Size (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Drawing menu)

If that does not help, then this is definitely an operating system level issue . We have heard this before. Try applying the latest updates to your operating system.

Unfortunately, no luck. My computer is brand new and I just applied the very latest system updates a few days ago, Windows 10. If this problem ever goes away and I am able to reasonably estimate any change that resolved it, I'll post an update here

SC, I figured out how to overcome this, and it's something your programmers may want to look into.

My tool properly aligns when I change the size of the window, like that resets it or something. I've also noticed that the chart header at times disappears, and this resize brings it back. And by resize I mean just click and drag the border, even if you put it back where it was.

Do you mean the title bar of the chart?

This sounds like an operating system level issue. Not even sure how we could even resolve something like this. It would not even be within our direct control.

Global Settings >> Chart Header - Standard

I have no issue with resizing occasionally. Just pointing out.

If you can figure out what you are doing that makes the Chart Header go away, then let us know.

Yes, duplicating my chart will do that and cause the tool to misalign. That much I can say.

1920by1080 main display. I changed the scale and tested with and without connection to satellite displays. Same result.

Can you give us a screenshot of your monitor from before and after? We would like to see how you have your Sierra Chart setup relative to the rest of the screen in both situations.

Can you clarify the before and after?

We want to see how your Sierra Chart is setup within your overall screen from before you make the change that causes the header to disappear, and then how it looks after the header disappears.

It is a lot easier for us to see your setup rather than ask a bunch of questions. This way, we can try to duplicate how you are setup.
