I have created 2 charts: NQ chart 1 and NQ chart 2.

I would like to run spreadsheet 1 on chart 1 and spreadsheet 2 on chart 2.

However they seem to be intervening with each other, how can i fix this?
If spreadsheet 1 triggers a buy it has happened that the buy gets closed by spreadsheet 2, i really need to avoid this since they are working on different timeframes.

Are you currently using two separate spreadsheets?

Yes, i use 2 different spreadsheets.

According to the information on the link you posted i would a different trade account if i want to trade 1 symbol with 2 spreadsheets?

"Using multiple automated trading systems at the same time within a single copy of Sierra Chart is supported, as long as the trading systems are for different Symbols or for different Trade Accounts if using the same symbol."

Yes this is the only reliable way to do it if you cannot work out the conflicts between the two trading systems otherwise.

Can i avoid this by using this method described here?

Chart Settings: Trade and Current Quote Symbol (text box) (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol menu)

"Use as Trade Only Symbol

This option applies to the Trade and Current Quote Symbol box, and determines if the symbol entered in the Trade and Current Quote Symbol is to be used for Market Depth data, Bid and Ask data, the Current Quote Window, and for Trading, or if the symbol entered is only to be used for Trading.

When this option is not selected, then the symbol entered in the Trade and Current Quote Symbol box will be used for Market Depth Data, Bid and Ask Data, the Current Quote Window, and for Trading.

When this option is selected, then the symbol entered in the Trade and Current Quote Symbol box will only be used for trading purposes."

If i open a chart of Mirco NQ futures, which is almost an exact copy of E-mini NQ futures, but make sure i check this option mentioned above so the data in the spreadsheet wil be from Mirco NQ futures but the trades get triggered in E-mini NQ futures?

This brings me to my second question, if the solution from above would work: I am currently only allowing 1 position at a time due to volatility and margin requirements, if i use this method i assume to the option in the spreadsheet "Maximum Position Allowed" will work separately for each instrument?

Meaning if i set the MNQ spreadsheet at max 1 position and the NQ spreadsheet at max 1 position, each will open max 1 position at a time, so it could be that the spreadsheets each will open max 1 position at the same time? That would be something i can live with.

Same goes for Micro ES futures, if i run the spreadsheet on both Mirco NQ and Mirco ES futures, will the maximum allowed position work independently or will the spreadsheet know i have an open position in another position and therefore not execute the signal?

If you have two automated trading systems using a different trading symbol, then they are not going to conflict with each other.

, if i use this method i assume to the option in the spreadsheet "Maximum Position Allowed" will work separately for each instrument?
Yes.
