Request/Idea ...In the topic with this link: Apply Study to Sierra Chart | Post: 237452 John - SC Support) Would it be a big problem for you to include the text "Trial" next to the SC account name on the Allow user tab? I think this would be welcomed by most developers to see who is new and who is not. (Sierra Chart Custom Studies Access Control Panel/ Manage Custom Studies Access) Thank you |

Do you mean if they are on a Sierra Chart trial?

Thank you for taking the time for contacting us about this. I am not sure that will be helpful, as the trial is only 2 weeks. And we do not really see much usage in 3rd party studies during this time. This will just clutter the interface more without adding much value. Sierra Chart Support |

This will just clutter the interface more without adding much value. If someone offers a trial version of their studies and users re-activate the trial account under a different name and reuse this period, then such a developer would probably disagree with you. But that's not my case. I care about the people who come here from amibroker, prorealcode and ninjatrader just for the study visualization test. They are no added value for anyone or me or you. Can I rephrase the question differently? It is possible (if not complicated for you) to create a hyperlink and in the same way as a new account is added to the list of authorized accounts to access the library .... in the same way to have a small form with one input text field for entering an account on a separate tab / page as a query to your database with feedback on account-creation-date or just the string "regular user" or "trial account"? I just repeat: "unless it's too complicated and time consuming" .... In sierrachart I'm more bothered by other things like the historical market depth or a little dynamic layout ... this above is more of an idea and I don't mind if you say " No". I will understand.... |
