Hi, I want to have a chartbook with intraday charts that are "frozen" in time, no new real-time data being updated into these charts, but only for these specific charts. Can this be done? also want to avoid ST: number in the status bar from rising for these charts...

Hi, enabled "Disable Data File Updating" for the charts in the chartbook and indeed it stopped tracking and the ST: count reduced after reconnecting. But now I don't know what happened or what I did, the ST: count no longer goes down for the charts in I have "Disable Data File Updating".

I meticulously went through all the steps in Chart Data and Chart Data Files: Reducing Number of Symbols Being Tracked by Sierra Chart

That's too bad, because I closed my running version of sierrachart, downloaded fresh version of sierrachart from https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SCZipInstallerList.php

logged in, closed all charts that popup with ExampleChartBook, loaded up a new ticker 'MSN' with File->Find Symbol waited for it to load then enabled 'Disable Data File Updating' disconnected and reconnected to data feed and ST:1, 1 still.

so clearly something is wrong with my account or sierra, nothing on my part.

and ST:1, 1 still.
We looked into this, and it will show up as being tracked, but there is no market data subscription occurring.

Also make sure you disable this setting:
Chart Settings: Allow Real-Time Updating of Historical Chart (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> Chart Data menu)
