Last price box problems

I am having issues with the last price not being highlighted.

On my trading DOMs, I'm having the same problem this person had: Trade and Chart DOM Color Settings Changes

Except he found a fix, whereas mine keeps reverting back to black. That is, I set "Last Trade Price Box" to white and "Last Trade Price Box Foreground" to black, but upon saving and closing Sierra Chart, then reopening Sierra Chart and the chartbook, the former reverts to black and the latter to white. (Note these DOMs have local graphics settings...I have unchecked the "Use Global Graphic Settings Instead of These Settings")

Moreover, on my charts, the Last Trade Price Box setting seems to not work at all. The Last Trade Price Box Foreground and Last Trade Price Box Outline settings do work properly. Thus right now I have an outline around the last price. But the box is not colored. No matter what color I set the Last Trade Price Box to, it remains white.

(I updated my Sierra Chart to the most recent version yesterday)

On the Last Trade Box Price Box there is an Enable option. It sounds like this got disabled. Select this option to Enable it then set your colors as you want. Refer to the information here:

Let's make sure we are all on the same page.

You are selecting Chart >> Graphics Settings - Chart correct?

And the option for Use Global Graphics Settings Instead of the These Settings is not enabled, correct?

And on this same page when you select the option for Last Trade Price Box the option for Enable is enabled, correct?

And if the answer to all of the above is Yes, then when you change the color for the Last Trade Price Box and select Apply, it is not updating, correct?

The answer to the above questions is yes.

When I change the color, it DOES update. But when I save it, then close the chartbook or close Sierra Chart, it reverts back to black background and white text.

I did some additional testing... This reversion seems to only happen when I set it to white background and black text. If I set it to, say, a green background, it will not revert.

We are not able to reproduce this. Can you please attach your Chartbook along with your Sierra3.cfg file to this thread. Follow these instructions for how to attach the Chartbook:

Refer to these instructions for how to attach a file. The Sierra3.cfg file is in your main Sierra Chart installation folder.

For example, if you go to any one of the trade DOMs I have open, go to Chart -> Graphic Settings, change Last Trade Price Box to white, save and close the chartbook, and then open it again, that change will not remain. It will go back to black.

Also on the ES chart I have open, changing the Last Trade Price Box doesn't even do anything. It simply doesn't work.

The problem is the way you are using the Trading DOMs.

First, the reason why the information is not staying when you close and reopen is because you need to keep the Trading DOM open when you save and not close it separately. When you then reopen the Chartbook, the Trading DOM will open with the settings as you previously had it. If you close the Trading DOM separately, then when you open the Chartbook again and open the Trading DOM, you are actually opening a new Trading DOM, which will have the default color settings. Refer to the information here:
Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Saving Trade DOM Configuration

Also, it sounds like you may be selecting the wrong spot to make the changes for some of the Trading DOMs. Make sure you are selecting Chart >> Graphics Settings - Chart on the Trading DOM window itself. You cannot select it from the main Sierra Chart Window, as that will impact the primary chart, not the Trading DOM. Refer to the information here:

I am not closing the Trading DOM separately. Why would I do that? I don't want to go through the hassle of opening a new Trading DOM window for three instruments every single time I open the chartbook, let alone adjust all the settings. I am closing the chartbook as one whole. It's very simple...I open the chartbook, change the last price box color to white, save chartbook, close chartbook, reopen chartbook, and the color reverts. That's all I'm doing.

And yes, I am selecting Chart -> Graphics Settings - Chart on the Trading DOM window.

I can take a video if needed. There is nothing out of the ordinary with what I am doing. Very simple procedure.

We are able to see the same thing using your charts. But we do not know why this is occurring. It may take a few days to dig into it and figure it out.

If it helps, if I set the last trade box color to light yellow, it does not revert. But then when I slowly adjust the color to become a lighter and lighter yellow, and closer to white, though not completely white, at some point it doesn't keep the change and reverts back to black. (This is on the Trading DOM, not the chart - on the chart, the box color does not change at all.)

We will resolve this. This is related to a comparison to a foreground and background color that looks similar. So it changes back to the default.

Hi lads,
My last trade price box is enabled and I have global color settings enabled on all charts.
I have removed the 'current price line' indicator. The issue is that the background colour of my box keeps changing from green to red and its not possible to even read the price with the color config.
I dont want it to keep changing color.
How can I stop this?
Thanks
